"TO MOVE EACH INDIVIDUAL TO LOVE PEOPLE"
  We are living in an extremely technologically advanced society.  We have gadgets and machines to aid us in just about anything we do.  The conveniences are almost innumerable.  From home entertainment (not just TV & Cable, but now I-control), to shopping on-line, and money machines.  Our opportunities for human interactions are becoming less and less as technology grows and grows.

     Outside of work (where personal interaction is discouraged, as it negatively impacts productivity), you can literally live most of your life without significantly interacting with anyone.

     Well, Jesus said the only other real commandment aside from loving God, is to love people.  Hermitage is not an option for the life of a child of God.  Everyone needs love.  And, if you give love, you will receive the love that you need.  Again, the church is the place where the believers are to be perfected.   And loving others doesn't come easy....as most of us have simply loved ourselves for so long.

     God's desire is that all of His children be well.  His means for making His children well is through His other children.  Jesus told his disciples that the "world" will know you are my disciples by the love that you have for one another.  But, we should take it a step farther.  Jesus died for those (as well) who were not his disciples.  Jesus also said that we would do greater works than he.  So if Jesus, loved the world so much that he would lay down his life....  and we are to to greater works than he.... where does that place us?

   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35
